Midnight Insanity's third convention was held in June of 2001 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, in
(where else?) Hollywood, California!! "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" was our most ambitious convention
to date, and took nearly two years to plan. Weighing in at 4 full days of Rocky Horror mayhem,
including four feature films
A Regular Frankie Fan
Elvira's Haunted Hills
as well as celebrity guests
Elvira, Mistress of the Dark
was a true test of Rocky con-goer endurance!!
Despite all the hard work, one of the best highlights for us are the comments on how much everyone
enjoyed the con. Below, we have included some of the best "thank you's" a cast could ever ask for.
Alternatively, there are several hundred pictures available in the
"Frankie Goes to Hollywood"
dedicated section of our website.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood
"Thank you MI for hosting one of my most unforgetable cons....it is up there with the 25th which is pretty difficult to beat!" -- Siouxsnapp
"I had a great time. Having not been to a con since 1990 I was astounded by how well this can went and what was done. You guys all made it one
of the best I have ever been to!" -- RIFFFFFFFF
"First I've got to thank MI (and anyone else who was involved in the throwing of the convention.) It must just be a shit-ton of work and hassle
and anguish to put on a convention and I'm incredibly grateful that there are still people and casts crazy enough to want to do it. (I'm especially
amazed at the pillows, and the DENTON letters, and the costume contest prizes...you guys must have had to quit your jobs to have the time to put
this thing on.) And MI Becky, I'm upset that I never got a chance to meet you and thank you for putting up with all my questions and stuff. Someday
I will..." -- Lori J. Timmermann
"You appeared to be the friendliest and most adorable bunch of freaks I've seen in a long time." -- Shawn Neely
"Well I have to say in the 3 years that I have been doing rocky I have never been to a better convention! I had a FANTASTIC time." -- Steven Slatten
"I believe they just officially invented MonsterCon. There was nothing but positivity (well of course except for a few couples) throughout the
entire con. it was amazing. i've never been to a con with as much stuff successfully packed into it, or as professionally done." -- BERNICHO
