Feeling a bit tense lately? Have your fishnets ripped one too many times, and sewing sequin after sequin on your costume is just driving you insane? Are cast politics, arguing, and pointless nonsense getting you down? Is your theater management stressing you out? Do the skips and splices in your print cause annoying headaches? Irritated? Frustrated? Aggravated? Wound up like an E or first string? What you need is a way to get away from it all.

What you need is Rocky Horror Vacations: Orlando.

More and more con-goers are using their convention time for vacationing as well. Many people arrive into town a few days early or stay a few days late, especially when traveling a considerable distance to get there. How many people would travel great distances just on a whim? Going to a convention has become akin to going on a vacation with your extended Rocky family.

With that in mind, we invite you to escape to sunny Orlando, Florida on October 11-14 and join Rocky vacationers from all over the country with a reprieve from the fall and winter blahs, a little fun in the sun, and a chance to kick back with other members of your extended dysfunctional RHPS family. Besides the typical amenities of a Rocky Horror convention - special guests, auctions, rare Rocky Horror treats, costume contests, trivia contests, Shock Treatment - you can look forward to more vacation-oriented activities, including some special activities at Universal Studios, Orlando. We are also encouraging you to stay a little late, or show up a little early, if you can, so you chill, vacation and maybe even sightsee with your friends from around the country.

A more concise itinerary is in the works, and will be posted on our web site shortly. Ticket prices are currently $50 for Friday and Saturday's events - which include a theme party, dealer tables, raffles, auctions, memorabilia displays, showing of rare footage, trivia and costume contests, Q&A session with special guests (to be announced shortly) and admission to both Shock Treatment and Rocky Horror. There will also be special preshows as well as a special performance of select numbers by a Rocky Horror Show cast. Details and prices for Thursday's and Sunday's events are still being ironed out with Universal Studios, but will be posted as soon as we have them.

The hosting hotel will be the Delta Orlando Resort, with the convention price of $89 a night. This is a world-class resort with restaurants, entertainment, and recreation on-site, within walking distance to the Universal Orlando complex. The hotel offers a whole host of amenities, which you can find out more about at http://www.deltaorlandoresort.com. To make reservations call 800-634-4763 and give them the group code Rocky Horror Vacation.

You can contact the convention committee at:

Also, keep an eye on our web site - http://www.rockyhorrorvacations.com - for more info as it becomes available.

We will keep everyone updated as we get more details finalized. Hope to see everyone in October!
